Traeger Smoked Chocolate Chip Cookies are a delicious twist on the classic chocolate chip cookie.
The addition of smoke to this sweet treat gives it a unique flavor that you won’t find anywhere else.
This recipe makes about 2 dozen cookies, but you can easily double or triple it if you want more!
Ingredients
To make the best smoked chocolate chip cookies, you will need:
- Chocolate Chips. Any brand of chocolate chips will work, but we recommend using Ghirardelli or Guittard’s Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips.
- Butter. You can use regular butter or margarine in this recipe; we prefer to use salted butter because it adds extra flavor and saltiness to our cookies!
- Brown Sugar (light or dark). We love using light brown sugar because it gives our cookies a nice chewy texture without being too sweet–you could also use dark brown sugar if you want them even chewier!
- Vanilla Extract/Salt/Baking Soda/Flour

Tips and Tricks
- The right wood pellets. Traeger recommends using the applewood pellets, but you can also use cherry or maple.
- Toppings! Try adding some nuts, chocolate chips and/or marshmallows to your cookies before they go in the smoker. This will add extra flavor and crunchy goodness to your finished product.
