Traeger Grills are one of our favorite ways to cook outside because they can do so much more than just meat. They’re great at roasting vegetables and making breads and desserts too!
There are tons of different kinds of veggies that work well on Traegers you don’t need any special equipment other than what comes with your grill (like an instant-read thermometer).
The key is cooking them at lower temperatures over longer periods of time so everything gets tender without burning or drying out.

Tips for Grilling Vegetarian Recipes
- Brush vegetables with oil. Vegetables are more likely to stick to the grill if they’re not coated in something, so brush them with olive oil or another cooking spray before putting them on.
- Use separate grates for vegetables and meats. Vegetables should be grilled on high heat while meats are cooked at lower temperatures, so it’s best to use separate grates when grilling both types of food at once (or just cook one type of food at a time).
- Don’t overcrowd your grill! If you have too much food on there, some parts will burn while others remain undercooked–and nobody wants that!
Tools for Grilling Vegetarian Recipes
- A grill brush. This is essential for cleaning your grill and removing burnt-on food from the bottom of the grates.
- Metal skewers, if you’re using them to hold together your vegetarian recipes (see below). You can also use wooden ones if you prefer not to have metal on your grill at all times.
- A non-stick grill mat or two, which will make it easier to clean up afterward by allowing you to scrape off any remaining pieces of food with a spatula or scraper without having them fall through onto the ground below!
